29 CFR 1926.95(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, were not provided: On or about June 23, 2015 and in times prior thereto workers were fitting metal braces on the base of a pipe supported by a crane without wearing eye protection. One worker was swinging a sledge hammer while another worker welded in the brace. This exposed workers to the hazards of being struck by flying objects, located at the construction site. The Custom Sign Creations was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.95(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314305194, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 14, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1700 South Lamar, Austin, TX 78704.
