29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent). At the Establishment, Building 77690, Fort Riley, Kansas, employees engaged in electronic maintenance service work from platforms inside the simulators were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 6 feet to the floor. The open sides of the platforms did not have guardrails or the equivalent to prevent employees from falling.
