29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(ii): Employee training did not include the physical and health hazards of the chemicals in the work area: a. Physical and health hazards training was not provided to employees working with and exposed to chemical products, such as, Aerosil 200. (Note: this standard requires training on health and physical hazards in sufficient detail for employees to know if exposure will result in injury/illness, such as lung impairment, eye injury, etc., the extent of injury/illness, such as acute or chronic, temporary or permanent, the route of exposure, such as inhalation, dermal, etc., if the product is a fire hazard. The safety data sheet can be an aid in order to provide the hazard training required.) Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citation(s).
