Public Works Yard, 301 Broad Street, Fitchburg, MA: On or about June 25, 2015 employees were disassembling a Link Belt 120T lattice boom crawler crane without an AD Director as required.

29 CFR 1926.1404(f)(1): When pins (or similar devices) were being removed, employees must not be under the boom, jib, or other components, except where the requirements of paragraph (f)(2) of this section were met. Public Works Yard, 301 Broad Street, Fitchburg, MA: On or about June 25, 2015 an employee was permitted to be under the boom of a Link Belt 120T lattice boom crawler crane removing boom connecting pins without the boom being supported with cribbing or other suitable methods exposing the employee to crushing and struck by hazards. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).

Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
