Abatement Certification Required.

29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or 1926.652(c):    (a)  Excavation Around a Storm Water Box - An employee stood on top of a concrete storm water sump box to release the sling used to lower the box in to the excavation. The employee was 12 feet deep and there was no adequate sloping or other shoring in place, exposing the employee to a serious hazard, observed on or about 6-29-15.     The Popple Construction Inc. company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314156589 , citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8-11-10, with respect to a workplace located at Front and Broad Streets, Pittston, PA.    Abatement Certification and Documentation Required.
