29 CFR 1926.652(g)(1)(iii): Employees shall be protected from the hazard of cave-ins when entering or exiting the areas protected by shields. a. On or about June 25, 2015 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees working inside a seven (7) foot deep trench were not provided with an adequate protective system when hand digging around utilities outside the trench box, thereby exposing the employees to cave in hazards.
