29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3): Sidewalks, pavements, or appurtenant structures had been undermined and a support system or another method was not provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures: a) 41 Sedgwick Road Job Site - On or about 7-6-15 - Employees were exposed to a collapse hazard from sections of concrete sidewalks that were undermined and not supported to install a new eight inch natural gas line in the four foot deep excavation. A twenty foot long section of concrete sidewalk slid into the excavation pinning two employees in the excavation and breaking one employee's lower leg.
