29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about July 8, 2015, on the north side of a 6/12 pitch roof of a commercial building, two employees working on the roof was not protected from a 10 feet 2 inch fall hazard by the use of a personal fall protection system.
