29 CFR 1910.269(a)(4)(viii): Existing characteristics and conditions of electric lines and equipment that are related to the safety of the work to be performed were not determined before work on or near the lines or equipment was started. Such characteristics and conditions include, but are not limited to environmental conditions relating to safety: a) Pole T20/191 near 99 Hayden Pond Rd., Dudley, MA: On or about June 29, 2015, the job briefing given was generic, and did not cover environmental conditions present at this site relating to the physical conditions and/or layout such as vertical slope of the site, public roadway location adjacent to set area, positioning of crews and/or equipment and location of prepositioned utility poles. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
