29 CFR 1910.213(d)(1): Circular handfed crosscut table saw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: JET, 10 inch table saw, Sample room, 9 Mohawk Drive, Leominster, MA: On or about July 10, 2015 the Jet, 10 inch table saw employees were using saw to trim templates and cut dado's was not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood exposing which exposed employees to amputation hazards. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Drill Press, Sample maker shop, 9 Mohawk Drive, Leominster, MA: One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided on the drill press used to make weld tip holes in plywood sample templates. The New England Wire Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 956153, citation number 4, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 4, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 9 Mohawk Drive, Leominster, MA 01453.
