29 CFR 1910.36(b)(1): At least two exit routes were not available in the workplace to permit prompt evacuation of employees and other building occupants during an emergency, except as allowed in paragraph (b)(3) of this section. The exit routes must be located as far away as practical from each other so that if one exit route is blocked by fire or smoke, employees can evacuate using the second exit route:  a. At the 664 Hwy 142 shop/warehouse, only one approved exit route was available at the time of the inspection (note: overhead doors are not approved exits and another door was locked, did not have an approved opening mechanism, and was blocked by merchandise.  (NFPA 101-2000 was reviewed to establish the violation.)  Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation.
