On or about 07/17/15 CSHO observed a company employee exposed to fall hazards of approximately 9 feet to the ground below when sitting on the buildings ridge as well as walking on the buildings pitched roof (approximately 4 on 12) when performing roofing over site and other related activities.

On or about 07/17/15 CSHO observed a company employee exposed to fall hazards of approximately 9 feet to the ground below when sitting on the buildings ridge as well as walking on the buildings pitched roof (approximately 4 on 12) when performing roofing over site and other related activities.  This employee had not received fall hazard recognition from the company.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
