29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section:   On or about June30, 2015 at a job site located at 2905 NE 100th Street in Kansas City, MO- employee was exposed to serious struck by and or engulfment injuries, in that there was no protective systems in use for work being done in the water saturated excavation.        Abatement certification for this violation is not required, abated during the inspection.
