29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, was not guarded. The guarding device was not in conformity with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, was not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle.  a) Manufacturing Area, on or about July 21, 2015 or prior thereto:  The Powermatic Table Saw, Model #66 Serial #8966502, was missing an overhead guard to protect the operator during the sawing of plastic.  b) Manufacturing Area, on or about July 21, 2015 or prior thereto:  The Mazak Quick Turn 15 N horizontal turning machine had its disconnect switch by-passed, exposing operators rotating parts with the front door open.  Abatement certification is required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4):   Work rests were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one-eighth inch to prevent the work from being jammed between the wheel and the rest, which may cause wheel breakage.  a) Manufacturing Area, on or about July 21, 2015 or prior thereto:  An abrasive wheel grinder, model BG-8, had the opening of its work rest 7/8" from the wheel.  Abatement certification is required for this item.
