29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). The employer does not protect employees from falling when working 6 feet or more above lower levels. This violation was observed on or about July 23, 2015, at the construction site where two employees were exposed to a 8 foot 11 inch fall hazard when performing roof sheathing activities on a residential structure without a fall protection system. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees engaged in construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falling.

29 CFR 1926.1051(a): Stairway(s) or ladder(s) were not provided at all personnel points of access where there was a break in elevation of 19 inches (48 cm) or more, or no ramp, runway, sloped embankment, or personnel hoist was provided. The employer does not provide stairways or ladders for access to the employees where there is a break in elevation of 19 inches or more. This violation was observed on or about July 23, 2015, at the construction site where two employees were exposed to an 8 foot 11 inch fall hazard when descending the roof using the frame of the structure do to the lack of a ladder. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are provide with stairways or ladders where there is a break in elevation of 19 inches or more.
