29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c) or 29 CFR 1926.652(b)(1)(i): On or about 7/22/15 Location: 25 Colonel Sheldon Lane, Pound Ridge, NY 10576 a) An excavation wall approximately 11 feet high was not adequately sloped to protect employees working near the base from cave-ins. The slope was cut back approximately four feet, 0.36 to 1, instead of the required 16.5 feet, 1.5 to 1, for Class C soil.
