29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c). The employer had not complied with the provisions of 29 CFR 1926.652(b)(1)(i) in that: a) For employees working at 27221 Bay Landing Drive located in Bonita Springs, on or about July 28, 2015. Employees were working in an approximately 21 foot 6 inch long by 11 feet 7 inch wide excavation with near vertical walls at a depth of approximately 5 feet 5 inches without the use of cave-in protection.
