OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards when an employee was elevated on the forks of the Hyster forklift that was not equipped with a proper work platform and fall protection. (a) 11425 Susquehanna Trail, Glen Rock, PA - An employee was elevated approximately 10 feet above the ground on a stack of lumber lifted by a Hyster forklift to service the dust collection system. The employee fell to the ground and sustained serious injuries, on or about June 7, 2015. No abatement certification or documentation required.
