On or about July 29, 2015 at worksite 9212 N. Overton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri- Employee was using a pnematic nail gun to secure shingles to the frame of a residential home without having any means of eye or face protective equipment. Abatement certification for this item is not required.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about July 29, 2015 at a job site located at 9212 N. Overton Avenue in Kansas City, MO- employees were exposed to serious injuries, in that the unprotected sides and edges of the elevated work area was not provided with guardrails or any other means of fall protection. The employees were exposed to an approx. 13 to 14 ft fall hazard. Abatement certification for this violation is not required.
