29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1)(i): Each platform unit (e.g., scaffold plank, fabricated plank, fabricated deck, or fabricated platform) was not installed so that the space between adjacent units and the space between the platform and the uprights were no more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, except where the employer can demonstrate that a wider space is necessary.  The employer did not sure that each platform unit was installed so that the space between the adjacent units was no more than 1 inch wide, on or about July 29, 2015:  a) Employees working on a platform above a stair section were on a platform that had 2 gaps larger than 1 inch.  b) Employees working on a platform that consisted of only two boards had a gap larger than 1 inch.   Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
