29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, were not guarded. The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefore, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: Production Floor Press Area: On, or about, 07/30/2015 employees were not protected from injury in the following instances: (a) Foot Presses: the point of operation had a gap between the ram and the base which was not guarded to prevent employees from having any part of the body from being in the point of operation. (b) Fusion Machines: the point of operation had a gap between the ram and the base which was not guarded to prevent employees from having any part of the body from being in the point of operation.
