29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a)At the construction of the Alta Terra Bella Apartments where an employee observed installing metal roofing materials on the cupola working of the Club House had no fall protection and was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 28 feet above the ground, on or about 07/30/2015. The Roof Depot of Central Florida, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315465310, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 04/20/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 871 Perth Place in Kissimmee, FL.
