29 CFR 1910.132(a): Personal protective equipment was not provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition wherever it was necessary by reason of hazards encountered in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption, inhalation or physical contact: a) On or about August 3, 2015, at the above located workplace, employees required to work with and around molten brass were not provided with personal protective equipment (coats, aprons, spats) that was maintained in reliable condition to provide adequate protection. Employees were thereby exposed to hazards associated with contact with molten metal.
