Employees worked unprotected on the roof and used an A-frame ladder to increase their working height. Violation observed on or about August 4, 2015

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. 42 Tiffany Drive, Flemington, NJ - Mountain View at Hunterdon (Lot 87) Employees engaged in residential construction were observed using a Werner aluminum extension ladder for access to the roof that was not extended at least 3-feet above the landing surface. Masons used the ladder to access the porch roof to brush the joints. Violation observed on or about August 4, 2015
