OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee(s) in that employee(s) were exposed to the hazard of being contacted by hot surfaces:  a)  At 401 U.S. Highway 160 in Doniphan, MO 63935 - On or about 08/04/2015, employees were exposed to the hazards of being contacted by hot surfaces (approximately 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit) on a 1550-PA Series Double Platen Heat Transfer Printing Press (S/N: 244180314), and the employer failed to develop, implement, and maintain a program which required daily inspections of the press to ensure that all guards and safety equipment are installed and functional.  Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of hazards abatement include:  The employer could develop, implement, and maintain a program which requires daily inspections to be performed to ensure that all guards and safety equipment are installed and functional, as described in ANSI B65.5-2006, Safety Standard for Stand Alone Platen Presses.
