29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:T (1) At Ramada Inn located at 4106 Frederick Blvd, St. Joseph, MO., the employer did not ensure that employees had been provided with information and training on hazardous chemicals in their related work areas of the facility. Employees working in the hotel laundry and the water works amusement pool area of the facility, had no documented training on the chemicals being used in the those related work areas. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
