Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that, employees were exposed to 6 foot to 30 foot fall hazards from fall protection systems not being provided and used: a) Thrall Farm, Windsor, CT. - On or about 8-14-15 - Employees are exposed to fall hazards of 6 to 30 feet above the ground while hanging tobacco leaves in the drying barns with no fall protection systems being used.
