29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: At the Animal Welfare Society - A written hazardous communication program was not established which includes: (a) properly labeling hazardous materials. The buckets containing the chemical material Accel, buckets and spray bottles containing bleach and the prep bottles containing a mixture of Accel and water were not properly labeled. The buckets and prep bottles had no markings to indicate the chemical material(s) being used. (b) Training regarding information and proper handling of hazardous materials had not been conducted. Proper use of the hazardous material including SDS, reading labels, and appropriate work practices such as using proper labeling for the use of corrosive chemicals was not available for employees.
