29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms were not kept clean and orderly or in a sanitary condition:  Westwood Heat Treated Lumber Corp and Kalinka Production LLC -Employees were exposed to a possible fire hazard due to an excess and accumulation of combustible dust from the saws located inside the mill area.  The employer had not developed a written housekeeping program, on or about 8/12/15.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace; including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazards and identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form:  Westwood Heat Treated Lumber Corp and Kalinka Production, LLC -Employees were experiencing burning of the eyes, and respiratory irritation, while cutting and cooking (heat treating) hazardous products, such as, but are not limited to hardwood (Ash, Elm, Maple, Poplar, etc.).   The employer had not identified and evaluated the respiratory hazard(s) to which the workers are exposed,  on or about 08/12/15.  The employer had not conducted monitoring.

The employer had not developed a written hazard communication program, on or about 08/12/15. Information and training under the new globally harmonized system (GHS) such as, but not limited to labeling system, and written hazard communication program had not been conducted, on or about 08/12/15.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
