29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent and the line of sight to an exit sign was not visible at all times: a. 75 Crows Mill Rd., Keasby NJ - Curbside Recycling Facility - North Exit The employer did not post signs indicating the direction of travel to the exits in the recycling facility where line of sight to an exit was not maintained at all times and where the direction to the nearest exit was not immediately apparent to employees, sub-contractor employees, and temporary employees working in the building. The view to exit door to the north was obscured by the stacking of recycled materials stored at a height of approximately 12 feet. Violation observed on or about August 21, 2015 b. 75 Crows Mill Rd., Keasby NJ - Curbside Recycling Facility - South Exit The employer did not post signs indicating the direction of travel to the exits in the recycling facility where line of sight to an exit was not maintained at all times and where the direction to the nearest exit was not immediately apparent to employees, sub-contractor employees, and temporary employees working in the building. The line of sight to the south exit door was obstructed by recycling machinery. Violation observed on or about August 21, 2015

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a. a. 75 Crows Mill Rd., Keasby, NJ - Green Machine work platform The employer authorized flexible cords to be used in lieu of permanent wiring. An extension cord (flexible cord) was run from the ground level outlet, up to the sorting line of the Green Machine, and used to provide power to a refrigerator and fans in a section of the facility that was not permanently wired. The flexible cord was attached to the sorting machine railings using wire ties to secure it. Violation observed on or about August 21, 2015
