29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. a) Employee was using a pneumatic nail gun on the exterior dormer structure of a house under construction at 1400 Martine Ave in Scotch Plains NJ with no safety glasses or other means of protecting the eyes from flying chips / nails. Condition(s) were noted on or about 8/21/2015. MJ and Sons Construction Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314682048, citation number 1, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/08/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 131 Hamilton Street in Englewood NJ.

No guardrails, personal fall arrest system, or other means of fall protection was in place. Condition(s) existed on or about 8/21/2015. MJ and Sons Construction Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314682048, citation number 1, item number 003 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/08/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 131 Hamilton Street in Englewood NJ.
