OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, employees were exposed to electrical hazards: Employees who perform installation on the PFLOW Series M Lift were exposed to amputation and crush-by hazards and the employer did not conduct an inspection to ensure a jumper cable was removed from the system. The jumper cable allowed electrical energy to bypass the energy control measures which were in place. Among other methods, feasible means of abatement include ensuring that the electric jumper cables are removed prior to work.
