29 CFR 1926.302(b)(7): Compressed air hose(s) exceeding 1 inch inside diameter, did not have a safety device at the source of supply or branch line to reduce pressure in case of hose failure: a) Second Floor Demolition workers were exposed to a struck-by hazard from a 1 inch pneumatic hose and coupling for the portable air compressor they were using to power 30 Lbs. jackhammers was not provided with safety device at the source of supply or branch line to reduce pressure in case of hose failure. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).

29 CFR 1926.850(h): When debris was dropped through holes in the floor without the use of chutes, signs warning of the hazard of falling materials were not posted at each level and the required barricades were not provided: a) First Floor - Workers passing next to a floor penetration were exposed to falling concrete debris from an active demolition operation for the area immediately underneath the penetration was not provided with hazard warning signs on either floor and a Caution tape barricade was located only 4 ft. from the edge of where the concrete debris was dropped. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
