29 CFR 1910.176(c): Storage areas were not kept free from accumulation of materials that constituted hazards from tripping, fire, explosion or pest harborage: a) Target, Copiague, Warehouse, West Wing (north of bailer staging area): Accumulation of boxes, carts, garbage bins, cardboard cages, and bailed cardboard were stored throughout the floor exposing employees to trip and fall hazards; on or about 9/2/15. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: a) Target, Copiague, Warehouse, West Wing (between bailer staging area and west wing exit discharge doors): Boxes, carts, ladders, and garbage bins were placed in exit route blocking and limiting egress up to and including 14 in. from double exit door; on or about 9/2/15. b)Target, Copiague, Warehouse, East Wing (between Middle Earth and east wing exit discharge doors): Boxes, carts, and garbage bin were placed in exit route blocking and limiting egress up to and including 24 in. from double exit door; on or about 9/2/15. c) Target, Copiague, Warehouse, West Wing (bailer staging area exit): Boxes, garbage bins, cardboard cages, and bailed cardboard were placed in front of exit door blocking and limiting egress up to and including 16 in.; on or about 9/2/15. d) Target, Copiague, Warehouse, Light Duty Exit: Boxes and pallets were placed in exit route blocking and limiting egress up to and including 30 in. from exit door; on or about 9/2/15. Target Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 891892, citation number 2, item number 1 issued on 3/22/13 and was affirmed as a final order on 4/8/13, with respect to a workplace located at 14200 East Ellsworth Avenue in Aurora, CO 80012. Target Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 992496, citation number 2, item number 1 issued on 9/30/14 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/22/14, with respect to a workplace located at 2703 Route 541 in Burlington, NJ 08016.
