The employer had not provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site by a competent person for hazards which could impact employees such as fall issues when installing floor joists in new home construction.                      Violation observed on or about 09/02/2015.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):   Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was the employee provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):    a)  23 Goodhart Drive, Livingston, NJ.  The employer had not ensured that his employee was protected from falls of 13 1/2 feet from the top of the floor joists to the basement floor below when working on the wood framing aspect of this new home construction project.                      Violation occurred on or about 09/02/2015.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):   The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a)  23 Goodhart Drive, Livingston, NJ and at the Corporate Offices at 342 Route 10 West, Whippany, NJ.  The employer had not provided employees with a training program on recognizing and eliminating fall hazards especially when installing floor joists during new home wood framing.                      Violation observed on or about 09/02/2015.
