29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee could demonstrate knowledge of why the respirator was necessary and how improper fit, usage, or maintenance could compromise the protective effect of the respirator: (Construction Reference 1926.103)(a)): Walsh Masonry project site located at Marquardt Village, Watertown, WI: On 9/3/15, a Mason was dry cutting concrete block and did not know that dust masks could not be used for respiratory protection when facial hair prevented a tight fit to the wearer's face.
