29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person(s)   a)  31 Weathervane Circle, Cream Ridge, NJ: On or about 9/5/15, the employer had not initiated a program for a competent person to conduct frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite, to identify hazards and/or stop the work in the event workers were placed in a hazardous condition.  As such, employees were conducting roof gable framing activities without proper use of fall protection.    Simple Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1046032, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/27/15, with respect to a workplace located at 483 Stanford Hill Road, Block 1159, Lot 19.25, Lakewood NJ.  IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  a)  31 Weathervane Circle, Cream Ridge, NJ: On or about 9/5/15, employees were conducting roof gable framing activities without proper use of fall protection.  As such, the workers were exposed to fall hazards of greater than 20 feet, from the roof to the ground below.   Simple Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1046032, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 05/27/15, with respect to a workplace located at 483 Stanford Hill Road, Block 1159, Lot 19.25, Lakewood NJ.
