Only one row of diagonal erection bridging was installed on most steel joists more than 60 feet long and that bridging was near the center of the joist span.  No diagonal erection bridging was installed one of the steel joists.

Jobsite:  Bays between column lines 4 and 5.  Hoisting cables were released before two rows of diagonal erection bridging were installed at the third points of the joists.  For many joists, just one row of diagonal erection bridging was installed near the mid-point of the joists.  For one joist, no diagonal erection bridging had been installed.

29 CFR 1926.757(e)(4)(i):     The employer has first determined from a qualified person and documented in a site-specific erection plan that the structure or portion of the structure is capable of supporting the load;    Jobsite:  Bays between column lines 4 and 5.    Bundles of decking were placed on steel joists when the joists had not been bridged in accordance with the steel erection drawings.  The site specific steel erection plan had no documentation that a qualified person had determined that it was safe to place decking on steel joists without joists being fully bridged and in at least 2 bays decking was placed more than 1 foot of the bearing surface of the joist end.
