29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c): At the above addressed jobsite, an employee was exposed to cave-in hazards while working in an trench that was over 10 feet deep without a supportive or protective system. Russ's Plumbing & Sewer, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 424290, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 11, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 10 Muriwood, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
