29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(ii): The employer did not assure that each employee, as necessary, had been trained by a competent person in the correct procedures for erecting, maintaining, disassembling and inspecting the fall protection systems to be used: (a) Martinez Roofing, 5770 29th St., Greeley, CO 80634: On and before September 2, 2015, the employer did not ensure that employees had been adequately trained in erecting fall protection systems. Employees working on a low-slope roof did not assemble their fall protection correctly. Employees hooked their lanyards into the anchorage point, instead of the back D-ring of their harnesses. This condition exposed employees to bodily harm in the event of a fall from elevation. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
