29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Deli Shop: The US Berkel Meat Tenderizer, Model 703A, was not equipped with a guard to protect the operators and other employees from ingoing nip points and rotating parts of the "The Cut-And-Knit Rollers" having 86 blades. On or about August 04, 2015, an employee's fingers were pulled into the ingoing nip points created by the above equipment, and the employee sustained serious injuries from the incident.
