29 CFR 1910.151(b): There was neither an infirmary, clinic, or hospital used for the treatment of all injured employees in near proximity to the workplace nor a person or persons adequately trained to render first aid: a) At the Clifton Springs thruway area, on or about 7/22/15: The employer did not allow an injured employee to seek medical attention from a nearby hospital, clinic, or infirmary when the extent of the injury was beyond the treatment capabilities of first aid at the work site. An employee's hand was cut by a knife and became swollen, turned dark in color, and became limited in range of movement. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
