Pulleys, any parts of which are seven (7) feet or less from the floor or working platform, shall be guarded in accordance with the standards specified in paragraphs (m) and (o) of this section. Pulleys serving as balance wheels (e.g., punch presses) on which the point of contact between belt and pulley is more than six feet six inches (6 ft. 6 in.) from the floor or platform may be guarded with a disk covering the spokes.  a. Located at 777 Manor Park Drive in Columbus, Ohio: an air compressor manufactured by AB Air Compressor Systems was used to supply compressed air for two tire machines which were located near the south wall of the building. Employees operating the control switch and pressure valve were exposed to ingoing nip point hazards due to unguarded pulleys on the compressor.

29 CFR 1910.253(b)(2)(ii): Inside of buildings, cylinders shall be stored in a well-protected, well-ventilated, dry location, at least 20 (6.1 m) feet from highly combustible materials such as oil or excelsior. Cylinders should be stored in definitely assigned places away from elevators, stairs, or gangways. Assigned storage spaces shall be located where cylinders will not be knocked over or damaged by passing or falling objects, or subject to tampering by unauthorized persons. Cylinders shall not be kept in unventilated enclosures such as lockers and cupboards.  a. Located at 777 Manor Park Drive in Columbus, Ohio: ten oxygen and acetylene compressed gas cylinders were stored in the maintenance shop. The cylinders were not secured from being knocked over, exposing employees to a struck by hazard.
