29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards:Note: Toeboards are only required when persons can pass, there is moving equipment or there is equipment with which falling materials could create a hazard. a)Bay 1: On or about September 15th, 2015, and prior to, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards from an opening in bay 1 loading dock that is 19 feet and 4 inches wide with height of 4 feet 3 and 5/16th inches from loading dock surface to bottom of ramp surface. b)Bay 1: On or about September 15th, 2015, and prior to, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards from an opening in bay 1 loading dock guard rail on the right side of the ramp looking at the loading dock from outside 30 inches wide and is 4 feet and 5 inches high from walkway surface to bottom of ramp surface. b)Bay 1: On or about September 15th, 2015, and prior to, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards from an opening in bay 1 loading dock guard rail on the right side of the ramp looking at the loading dock from outside 30 and ¾ inches wide and is 4 feet and 3 and 5/16th inches high from walkway surface to bottom of ramp surface.
