29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a- Corner of Hankins Road & Route 130 South, Robbinsville NJ:  A company employee was exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 13 feet to the ground surface below, when walking/working from the top plates of the structure's outer walls.  This employee was not utilizing any fall protection at the time of the exposure.  Condition observed on or about 09/08/15.      NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:    a- Corner of Hankins Road & Route 130 South, Robbinsville NJ:  A company employee was exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 13 feet to the ground surface below, when walking/working from the top plates of the structure's outer walls.  This employee was not utilizing any fall protection at the time of the exposure.  This employee had not received any fall hazard recognition training nor the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards from the employer.  Condition observed on or about 09/08/15.      NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. 29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards:    a- Corner of Hankins Road & Route 130 South, Robbinsville NJ: Workers used two separate A-framed ladders to access different work areas throughout the worksite.  These ladders were not used as per their manufacturer requirements exposing their users to fall hazards.  These company employees had not received any ladder hazard recognition training from the company on the day of the worksite inspection.  Condition observed on or about 09/08/15.      NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:    a- Corner of Hankins Road & Route 130 South, Robbinsville NJ:  A company employee used an A-framed ladder, in the fully closed position as it was leaning against a structure's outer walls, to perform framing and other related activities at the worksite.  This employee was exposed to fall hazards when this ladder was not used as per the manufacturer requirements.  Condition observed on or about 09/08/15.      NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
