29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: a- 133 - 66th Street, Sea Isle City NJ: Employees, not utilizing fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 11 feet (to the ground surface below) when decking, framing and other carpentry related activities from unproteceted edges of a new residential structure's upper floor. Condition observed on or about 09/12/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a- 133 - 66th Street, Sea Isle City NJ: Employees, not utilizing fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 11 feet (to the ground surface below) when decking, framing and other carpentry related activities from unprotected edges of a new residential structure's upper floor. Employees had not received fall protection hazard identification training from a competent person on the day of the worksite inspection. Condition observed on or about 09/12/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
