29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: (a) Production floor; on or about September 4, 2015, the adjustable hood guard on a Jet circular hand fed rip saw was pushed back exposing the blade during wood facing operations. An employees hand contacted the unguarded blade resulting in finger amputations and lacerations.
