OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employer which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were not protected from crushing hazards: a) On or about September 17, 2015 and at times prior, an inspection process was not effectively documented to identify the hazards associated with the storage of palletized product. Abatement Note: Among other methods, the following methods may be feasible to correct this condition: Develop and implement a procedure for safe stacking/storage of palletized product and train all affected employees on this procedure. Develop and implement an inspection process to periodically inspect storage areas for potential hazards to include but not be limited to unstable stacks of materials and damaged pallets.
