29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. Employees performing stucco repairs to a temple dome were exposed to struck by hazards while employees moved tools and materials between scaffolding levels. The employer failed to mandate the use of hard hats. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds shall be fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports as follows: Employees performing stucco repair operations on a temple dome were exposed to a fall of 24' when the employer failed to ensure the scaffolding was fully planked. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
