29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift.  Note to paragraph (b)(2)(v): As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated under 1926.502(e).    Baymont Inn Jobsite - Employees were exposed to fall hazards while working in an aerial lift approximately 20 feet above grade without fall protection.      No abatement documentation or certification is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards.    Baymont Inn Jobsite - Employees had not received training to recognize and minimize hazards associated with aerial lifts.  Employees were exposed to fall hazards while working from an aerial lift on the jobsite.     Abatement certification is required for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
